【摘要】:Insolublematerialmayforminoilsthataresubjectedtooxidizingconditions.Significantformationofoilinsolublesormetalcorrosionproducts,orboth,duringthistestmayindicatethattheoilwillforminsolublesorcorrodemetals,orboth,duringfieldservice.However,nocorrelationwithfieldservicehasbeenestablished.1.1Thistestmethodisusedtoevaluatethetendencyofinhibitedmineraloilbasedsteamturbinelubricantsandmineraloilbasedanti-wearhydraulicoilstocorrodecoppercatalystmetalandtoformsludgeduringoxidationinthepresenceofoxygen,water,andcopperandironmetalsatanelevatedtemperature.Thetestmethodisalsousedfortestingcirculatingoilshavingaspecificgravitylessthanthatofwaterandcontainingrustandoxidationinhibitors.Note1Duringroundrobintestingcopperandironintheoil,waterandsludgephasesweremeasured.However,thevaluesforthetotalironwerefoundtobesolow(thatis,below0.8mg),thatstatisticalanalysiswasinappropriate.Theresultsofthecooperativetestprogramareavailable.1.2ThistestmethodisamodificationofTestMethodD943wheretheoxidationstabilityofthesamekindsofoilsisdeterminedbyfollowingtheacidnumberofoil.Thenumberoftesthoursrequiredfortheoiltoreachanacidnumberof2.0mgKOH/gistheoxidationlifetime.1.3ProcedureAofthistestmethodrequiresthedeterminationandreportoftheweightofthesludgeandthetotalamountofcopperintheoil,water,andsludgephases.ProcedureBrequiresthesludgedeterminationonly.Theacidnumberdeterminationisoptionalforbothprocedures.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,seeSection7andX1.1.5.
